UCC will be represented by top lawyer to respond to IRS

The United Church of Christ is well represented to respond to the IRS inquiry. The UCC announced today that Seth Waxman of WilmerHale and former Solicitor General of the United States will be representing the denomination in it's response to the IRS. As an added bonus, WilmerHale will not charge our denomination for the legal services.

In a bit of irony, Waxman was hired by Disney in 2005 to oppose FCC advertising restrictions on childrens television shows which were broadly supported by the UCC's Office of Communication.
