Fundraising for 'Steeples' television ad misses mark, $150,000 more still needed

Reports from Cleveland claim that the fundraising drive for the UCC's "Steeples" national television ad campaign have not gone well. According to staff in the United Church of Christ's national office, total pledges by the September 1st deadline came to $200,000 (with $25,000 coming from a single donor), well short of the $350,000 goal. A final push (surge?) is planned to raise the remaining $150,000.
